Purpose

This website will help you get online when you are behind a captive portal (hotel, airport, etc).

Many captive portals are not configured to intercept secured HTTPS pages. This page will never be SSL/TLS secured and will remain plain text.
The webserver is configured to send "no-cache" headers. It generates a 301 redirect to a random subdomain so that your browser will (hopefully) not cache it.
